An event has a title and a date or date range. Optional labels, notes and colors make the printed calendar easier to read. Those display choices do not change the event into a timed appointment or create reminders.

Add an event

Choose Add an event from the editor. Enter a title you can recognize in the calendar, then choose the start date. For a single-day event, use the same final date. For a longer event, enter the last day you want included. The event date must be valid and within 1900–2100.

Keep the title short enough for the layout. “Dentist” or “Project review” may be easier to read than a full message or address. Put supporting information in notes when you need it. Before saving, read the full date once more, including the year.

Use a time label as text

You can add a time label such as 14:30, Morning or After school. The label appears as supporting text. It does not specify a time zone, calculate a duration or schedule a notification. Calendar-app exports remain date-based rather than inventing a timed event from the label.

If the label will be read by someone else, choose a form they understand. Include enough context in the title or note when a bare time could be confusing. Do not rely on the calendar to convert the label for a reader in another place.

Choose color and notes for readability

Use a consistent set of event colors or categories. Add a legend when the colors have meaning, and keep important information in the text as well. That lets the calendar remain useful in black and white. Review a busy day before assigning many different colors.

Notes can hold details that do not fit the date box. Check whether you want those notes included in the output. They may contain personal information, so read the completed page or file before sharing it. A short public label and a private preparation note do not always belong in the same copy.

Edit or remove an existing event

Open the event from the event list or its editing control. Review the title, dates, notes and repeat rule together. Changing a recurring event can affect several occurrences, so inspect more than the first visible date after saving the change.

To remove an event, use its delete action and read the confirmation or result carefully. Do not assume that deleting a printed file removes the editable event, or that changing the editor updates an older download. Keep a JSON backup before a large cleanup if you may need the previous version.

Review the result before exporting

Check the date box containing the event and any continuation across rows or months. If a label wraps, make sure it remains associated with the correct date. Multiple events on one day may need shorter names or a roomier density, especially on a six-row month.

Save the project locally only when the save action reports success. If saving fails, keep the current work open and download a JSON backup. PDF and PNG are useful outputs, but they do not replace the editable project when you need to change the events later.
