A common year beginning on Thursday
The 2026 calendar has 365 days. January 1 is a Thursday and December 31 is also a Thursday. February has 28 days. Review a full year’s dates before placing recurring events: a familiar monthly arrangement from another year is not a replacement for the 2026 grid.
All twelve months
Each month below has its own real date grid and editable monthly page. The row counts compare Monday-first and Sunday-first layouts; they describe how the dates fit, not different calendars.
| Month | Days | Starts on | Rows: Monday / Sunday |
|---|---|---|---|
| January | 31 | Thursday | 5 / 5 |
| February | 28 | Sunday | 5 / 4 |
| March | 31 | Sunday | 6 / 5 |
| April | 30 | Wednesday | 5 / 5 |
| May | 31 | Friday | 5 / 6 |
| June | 30 | Monday | 5 / 5 |
| July | 31 | Wednesday | 5 / 5 |
| August | 31 | Saturday | 6 / 6 |
| September | 30 | Tuesday | 5 / 5 |
| October | 31 | Thursday | 5 / 5 |
| November | 30 | Sunday | 6 / 5 |
| December | 31 | Tuesday | 5 / 5 |
Months worth checking at print size
August needs six rows with either week start. March and November need six with Monday first, while May needs six with Sunday first. Use one of those months as a proof when choosing text density for a multi-page year calendar.
Choose a year overview when you want to see major dates together. Use detailed monthly pages when you need room for individual events and notes. Match the paper and orientation before setting the density, then inspect the complete output rather than only the first page.
A specific observed-date difference
In the reviewed federal collection, Independence Day is July 4 and its observed date is July 3. Keep those date roles clear. The other dates in the collection still need their official labels and do not imply a complete list of school or local closures.
The optional U.S. federal collection is not an official school, state or workplace schedule. Leave it off for a blank calendar, or keep its source and date-role labels visible alongside your own events.
Keep the year editable
Save the calendar as a local project and download a JSON backup before making a version for another year. Reuse the layout choices that still work, but review every one-time event and repeated rule. A title change alone does not update the dates inside a project.
